Dr Adam Simon
Dr Simon is an extremely well qualified general practice doctor with considerable expert knowledge and a truly engaging patient approach.
Adam trained in London at University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, qualifying in 1993.
Adam has worked in London, Manchester and New Zealand. He is currently a partner in a thriving GP surgery in Chadderton and is a successful private GP in Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire.
Adam is Chief Medical Officer for PushDoctor, the UK’s largest online video consultation service.
As well as his medical degree, Adam has a BSc in epidemiology, a MSc in General Practice and achieved a distinction in his examinations for membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Adam is a GP trainer, training the new recruits into general practice.
Adam is a clinical supervisor for medical students attending University of Manchester’s school of medicine.
Adam enjoys running, cycling and kayaking and is very involved in his local community. To the utter embarrassment of his children he is also an active DJ.
Dr Lionel Michael
We are very pleased to have Dr Lionel Michael (formerly of 599 Wilmslow Road, Didsbury) working with us on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the day. An incredibly well respected doctor with numerous years experience. We are delighted he has joined AJ Primus Healthcare.
Lionel Michael is a committed and hugely experienced GP. Before joining the GP Extra team he established a practice in South Manchester that attracted patients from across the world and has treated generations of families, drawn by his unhurried, welcoming manner and meticulous attention to detail. Lionel studied in Manchester and has travelled the world to make sure that he is across the latest developments in diagnosis and patient care. Married with children and grandchildren and based in South Manchester, Lionel is delighted to be working with AJ Primus Healthcare at the prestigious Alexandra Hospital.
Please note: Dr Michael is retiring at the end of June, but any of his patients can be seen by ANY of our other doctors.
Dr Selina Dunn
Dr. Selina Dunn is fellowship trained GP with a specialist interest in the management of persistent pain and long term conditions. Selina graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1998. She trained as a GP in Manchester and Australia and attained her MRCGP qualification in 2004. In 2006 Selina completed a clinical fellowship in Pain Management at the world-renowned Wasser Pain Institute in Toronto before returning to the UK to take up a GP partnership role in central Manchester.
In 2014 Selina bid for and secured funding for a 6-month community pain service pilot, which she set up with the help of a pain physiotherapist. Patient related outcome measures, patient and G.P feedback were excellent and there are plans to formalise this service shortly.
Dr. Dunn’s private GP practice encompasses all aspect of general practice with a focussed specialised approach in the management of chronic diseases and all persistent pain conditions.
Selina lives in Altrincham with her husband and two young children, who take up most of her spare time. In the spare time that she has she likes to bake cakes and keep fit.
Dr Louise Freedman, MBChB BSc(Hons) MRCGP DFSRH
Dr Louise Freedman trained at the University of Manchester and qualified in 2006. In addition to her medical degree she also has a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She works as a salaried GP in Heald Green and a locum GP in a variety of practices around Manchester and Stockport.
Dr Freedman has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and sexual health. She regularly teaches medical students and is undertaking a Diploma in Practical Dermatology at the University of Cardiff.
In her spare time Dr Freedman enjoys running, baking cakes and spending time with her young family.
Dr Bodner has worked for over 40 years of working in the NHS and has extensive experience over many years as a GP working in a large teaching practice.
Dr Bodner is very committed to teaching students, undergraduates and trainee GPs having run GP training courses and also becoming an Examiner for the Royal College of GPs which he continues to do at the present. His special interests include child health and supervised child development.
He is currently learning Spanish, plays the piano and a reasonable game of golf and has two adorable grand daughters who keep him, young and busy.
